How it works

Swap stuff & get stuff using Swapits points!

You get Swapits for every item you swap and you can earn extra Swapits from brands, doing stuff online, competitions and more.  Then you can spend your Swapits on the latest new stuff and things other people swap. 

1. Adding a swap
Click on Add swap to enter the details of the item you want to swap.  Try to tell other swappers as much as you can about your swap - the condition, the make, technical specifications, etc.  Plus, it’s great if you can add a photo of your swap. 

2. Making a bid
Sign in and find the swap you want to bid on.  Click on the swap to see the full description.  In ‘Make a bid’, enter the amount of Swapits you want to bid or click on Win now.  To check you are still the winning bidder, click on ‘Refresh the page’.  We’ll email you if your bid is beaten and when you win a swap.

3. Rating
You can see how many successful swaps a swapper has made by checking their rating.  Each swap shows the coloured star for that swapper and if you click on the swapper nickname you can also see their rating points score.

4. Swap zones & frenzies
In the swap zones, you can find both new swaps added by swapitshop.com and second-hand swaps added by members.

Frenzies are full of new stuff given to SwapitShop by brands to promote something like a new movie or game.  We’re often given great stuff that you can’t get in the shops.

5. Posting swaps
When your swap has been won, we’ll send you an email telling you how to send your swap to us.  If you are not sure how many stamps (& forwarding stamps) to use, then take your parcel to your Post Office and they will weigh and measure it for you.  See Posting swaps.

6. Get Swapits
You get Swapits for every item you swap, plus a bonus 15 Swapits if we receive your swap within 5 days of the ‘Swap won date’.

7. Swapits newsletters
You can find out about the latest stuff on the site and new ways to Get Swapits in our newsletter emails.  Sign in, go to your Details page and tick the boxes in the ‘Swapits newsletters & offers’ section at the bottom.
