1. How do I get more Swapits?
Swap your stuff for Swapits and spend them in the swap zones and frenzies. Plus, find out how to get extra Swapits on our Earn Swapits page. You can also sign up to our Swapits offer emails. Sign in and go to your Details page. Tick the ‘Find out about Swapits offers’ box in the ‘Swapits newsletters & offers’ section at the bottom.
2. When do I get my Swapits from stuff I swap?
Your Swapits are automatically credited to your account within one hour of SwapitShop receiving and processing your swap. Sign in and go to your Statement page to see how many Swapits you earn and spend.
3. How do I get Swapits with ‘Swapits Links’?
You can earn Swapits by adding links to your web pages and emails. Sign in and enter your details in the box on your My home page.
You will earn Swapits for every click on a link and for every person who joins Swapits. Your Swapits will be credited to your account on the first day of every month. You will be able to see how many Swapits you get from your links each month on your Statement page. MORE
4. How do I join SwapitShop?
Click on Join and fill out your details to get your own SwapitShop account. Your nickname is the name you will be known as on swapitshop.com. It's good to use letters and numbers! (Don't use your real name). And make sure your password is completely different to your nickname too so that no one can guess it.
5. What do I do if I forget my password?
Go to the Sign in page and enter the email address you used when you joined SwapitShop in the 'Forgotten your nickname or password' box. Your password will be emailed to you straight away.
6. I'm entering my nickname and password correctly, why can't I get into my account?
The best browsers to use are Internet Explorer, version 6 or 7, Firefox 1.5 and above, or Safari. Or your security settings may be set too high. To check, open Internet Explorer, go to 'Tools', 'Internet Options' and then click on the 'Privacy' tab. Your settings need to be at ‘Low’. MORE
7. How do I change my details?
Sign in and click on ‘Details'. You can change details like your address and email address on this page. Plus you can sign up to the Swapits newsletters!
8. What kind of stuff can’t I swap?
• Anything rude or offensive, including attached images.
• Any rude/swear words in your description.
• Copied/fake items (it is illegal to copy and then try to sell copied CDs, etc).
• Items that may be dangerous.
• Items that are damaged or in bad condition.
• Items too large/heavy to be sent by normal post.
• Anything containing personal messages, links to websites, email addresses or any other personal information.
• 'Lucky dip' or 'mystery' swaps that do not explain exactly what the bidder will receive.
• Used make-up.
• Aerosol sprays.
• Used pierced jewellery.
• Dirty clothing.
• Any kind of weapon.
• Internal PC components.

9. When do my swaps go on the site?
Before your swap goes live, the details are checked by SwapitShop Customer Services. Swaps are checked and added to the site regularly every day until 10pm. (We will remove or edit swaps that you can’t swap on swapitshop.com.)
10. What if I change my mind after adding a swap?
You can edit or delete swaps you have added before a bid is placed. Sign-in and go to your Swaps page. If a bid has already been placed, then you will have to go through with the swap.
If you are really unable to complete the swap, then email us at info@swapitshop.com straight away. You will lose 3 rating points for cancelling a swap.
11. What if I change my mind after someone has won my swap?
You must be 100% sure that you want to swap your stuff before you add it to swapitshop.com. If another swapper wins it, then you have to send it to us. If you don't, you will lose 3 rating points and disappoint the winner.
12. Can I cancel a bid or a swap I have won?
SwapitShop are not able to cancel bids once they have been made, so you must be 100% sure that you want to bid on an item.
13. Why is the swap I won still on the site and not in my 'Completed, Won' page?
As soon as you have won a swap, no one else will be able to bid and the swap will end. Your swap will move across to your Completed, Won page in one of our regular site updates.
14. When do I send in my swaps?
When your swap has been won, we will send you an email describing how to send your swap to us. If you are not sure how many stamps (and forwarding stamps) to use, then you will need to take the parcel to your Post Office who will weigh and measure it for you. 15. Who pays the postage / What are forwarding stamps?
Every swap item needs to be sent to SwapitShop with an extra set of stamps, the same price as the ones used to post the package. We'll use these to send your package to the winning swapper. Stick the stamps on the back of the package or on each individual swap envelope if you are sending multiple swaps in one big parcel.
If you don’t send enough forwarding stamps, we will email you and ask for more before we credit your Swapits to your account. Check our Posting swaps page or make sure you get your swaps weighed and measured at the Post Office.
16. What happens if the swapper doesn’t send in the swap I’ve won?
If SwapitShop haven't received the swap within 14 days of the 'Swap won date' you will be sent an email telling you that you can cancel or extend the swap for another 3 days. Sign in at swapitshop.com and then click on either the ‘extend’ or ‘cancel’ link in the email. If you click on 'cancel', your Swapits will be immediately returned to your account. You can also extend or cancel swaps from your Completed, Won page.
17. What happens if I send in my swap but it's cancelled before SwapitShop receives it?
You have 14 days to send in your swap. If we receive your swap after it has been cancelled, we will return it to you, but you will lose 3 rating points.
